View full detailsShop karting gloves for kart and go-kart racing, in adult and youth sizes, from OMP and Alpinestars. Choose an FIA 8877-2022 homologated glove for sanctioned racing, or a lighter glove for club, practice and rental karting. Shop adult karting gloves or youth and kids karting gloves.
Each product page lists its homologation and size chart. Racing in the rain? Shop karting rain gloves. Racing a car? Shop racing gloves, which are fire-resistant and rated SFI or FIA.
Karting gloves are built for grip, wheel feel and abrasion protection rather than fire resistance. If you also race cars, you need separate gloves rated SFI 3.3/5 or FIA 8856 for fire protection; shop our racing gloves for car racing.
It depends on your series. FIA 8877-2022 now covers karting gloves as well as suits, and FIA-sanctioned events may require homologated gloves. The OMP KS-X, KS-X ART and Alpinestars Tech-1 KX V4 are homologated to FIA 8877-2022. Check your rulebook before you buy.
Karting gloves focus on grip, wheel feel and abrasion resistance, with thin, flexible palms. Racing gloves for cars add fire-resistant materials such as Nomex and carry SFI or FIA ratings, as car series require. Some drivers use racing gloves in karts, but karting gloves can't replace fire-rated gloves in a car.
Measure around your palm just below the knuckles, and from your wrist to the tip of your middle finger, then compare with the size chart on each product page. Karting gloves should fit snugly without pinching your fingers. If you're between sizes, choose the larger one.
At FAST RACER, karting gloves currently start around $40 for entry-level models and run to about $180 for FIA 8877-2022 homologated gloves. Price usually reflects homologation, materials and grip technology, so match the glove to where you race rather than buying the most expensive pair.
Yes. Most of our karting gloves also come in youth and kids sizes, including the OMP KS-X, KS-2 ART V2, KS-3 and KS-4 ART and the Alpinestars Tech-1 K Race S V2. See every glove in children's sizes in youth and kids karting gloves.
FAST RACER sells karting gloves from OMP and Alpinestars online, in adult and youth sizes. Each product page lists the homologation, sizes and size chart, so you can choose before you order. US orders of $50 or more ship free, and you can exchange or return within 30 days in as-new condition.
