View full detailsShop youth and kids karting shoes and racing shoes from OMP, Alpinestars and Bell, sized for young drivers. Choose kids karting shoes for kart racing, or SFI rated youth racing shoes if your child races cars. Several models come in both kids and adult sizes, so they can grow with your driver. See all karting shoes or racing shoes.
Measure your child's foot length and compare it with the youth size chart on each product page. Youth karting and racing shoes usually run in US kids sizes, from about 1 to 5. Shoes should fit snugly with no heel lift. If your child is between sizes, choose the larger one.
No. Karting shoes aren't fire-rated, so they don't meet the SFI ratings car classes usually require. Kids who race cars need fire-resistant youth racing shoes, such as the Bell SPORT-YTX, rated SFI 3.3/5.
It depends on the series and class. Some sanctioned karting events call for FIA 8877-2022 homologated shoes, while club and practice karting often don't. Youth versions of the OMP KS-XR and KS-2X and the Alpinestars Tech-1 KX V3 are FIA 8877-2022 homologated. Check your rulebook before you buy.
