  • The Stand21 FHR Featherlite is Stand 21's carbon head and neck restraint, built for drivers who want the lowest weight in the range. Made from very high-strength carbon, it weighs from 310 grams without padding and accessories, according to Stand 21.

  • That is less than half the weight of the Stand21 FHR Club 3 Series (640 grams, device alone), and Stand 21 describes the Featherlite as the lightest FHR it has ever created.

  • A redesigned, more ergonomic leg shape, a new harness strap passage, and a curved rear beam help reduce interference between the helmet and the seat headrest for better comfort and cockpit integration.

  • Available in a 20-degree angle for upright seating or a 30-degree angle for reclined seating. Stand 21 lists the Featherlite as approved for use in NASCAR competition.

Measure around the base of your neck before you order, and remember that the 30° Featherlite comes in Medium only. If you are between sizes, contact us before you order.

      No. The Featherlite comes with black padding, a sliding tether and a protective bag. Helmet post anchors are sold separately: the Stand21 FHR post anchors set (FIA 8858-2010) screws into helmets with M6 threaded receptacles. Before you order, check that your helmet has those receptacles and that its rating appears on the approved list on the anchors page.

      All three Stand 21 FHRs are certified to FIA 8858-2010 and SFI 38.1. The Stand 21 Club 1 is the entry-level model at about 900 g, built from carbon-reinforced thermoplastic resin. The Stand 21 Club 3 trims that to 640 g for the device alone. The full-carbon Featherlite starts at about 310 g and is the only one of the three offered in 30°.
