Aston Martin Valkyrie Hypercar

Max Verstappen and Alex Albon got their first taste of the revolutionary Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar at Silverstone Circuit and the video shows their happy faces.

"It seems you are always sitting in a formula one car" says Max. Valkyrie comes as close as possible to a Formula One™ car without being restricted to the track.

Its technology comes directly from the collaboration between Adrian Newey, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing's Chief Technical Officer, and Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's Chief Creative Officer, and is the result of a technical partnership between Red Bull Advanced Technologies and Aston Martin. 

Few facts and curiosities about the car:

• It is an "all carbon-fiber" without any steel component in the car's structure.
• The 6.5-litre V12 engine developed with Cosworth was designed to a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio: so much power for an exceptionally lightweight car.
• The Aston Martin Valkyrie is so fast and so powerful that it doesn't even have a reverse gear.
• It's set to compete in thew new Hypercar class in the 2020/21 FIA World Endurance Championship.
