View full detailsShop Bell KC7 helmets for young kart racers. Choose the Bell KC7-CMR, rated Snell/FIA CMR2016 and built for karting, or the Bell KC7-EV CMS, rated Snell/FIA CMS2016 with a wider eyeport.
The KC7-EV CMS has a wider eyeport than the KC7-CMR. That extra space around the eyes helps drivers who wear glasses: frames slide on and off more easily, the padding puts less pressure on them, and the wider opening helps with fogging and peripheral vision.
Sizes vary by version, so check each product page for the sizes in stock. For an in-depth look at fit, weight and features, read our Bell KC7-CMR review.
Snell/FIA CMR2016 is a current standard designed specifically for young kart racers, primarily drivers under 15, with low helmet weight to help reduce the forces on a child's head and neck. Snell/FIA CMS2016 is designed primarily for youth motocross and off-road motorsports.
Both are accepted for youth karting by major U.S. organizations, including SKUSA, USPKS, WKA and AKRA, but CMR2016 is the version designed for karting. Age and class rules vary by series. See What You Must Wear to Race in 2026 for each league's helmet rules.
Driver editions come with their own tinted shield.
The KC7-CMR is rated Snell/FIA CMR2016, the standard designed specifically for young kart racers, and comes in White, Champion graphics, Carbon and F1 driver editions. The KC7-EV CMS is rated Snell/FIA CMS2016, has a wider eyeport, and starts at size 51. Both are accepted for youth karting by major U.S. organizations.
The KC7-EV CMS. Its wider eyeport leaves more room around the eyes, so glasses slide on and off more easily, the padding presses less on the frames, and fogging and restricted side vision are less of an issue. Check that your series accepts CMS2016 helmets for your child's class.
In most U.S. youth karting, yes. SKUSA, USPKS, WKA and AKRA accept Snell/FIA CMS2016 helmets for youth competition, though CMR2016 is the version designed specifically for karting. Age and class requirements vary by series, so always check your event's current rulebook before race day.
The Bell KC7-CMR uses Bell's SE07 2mm shield. The KC7-EV CMS uses the SE07EV 2mm shield, made for its wider eyeport. Both are listed above. The 3mm SE07 shield for the RS7 does not fit the KC7.
Yes. The Bell V15 F1 clear rear spoiler fits the KC7-CMR in the Small (38mm) size only, and it also fits the KC7-EV. Choose the Small size when you order it for a KC7-CMR.
FAST RACER sells the Bell KC7-CMR in White, Champion graphics, Carbon and F1 driver editions, plus the Bell KC7-EV CMS, online. Each product page lists the helmet's rating and sizes, so you can match it to your series rules before you order. Orders of $50 or more ship free.
Measure around the widest part of your child's head, about one inch above the eyebrows, and compare it with the size chart for that helmet. Try it on indoors first. If it doesn't fit, exchange it for another size or return it within 30 days in as-new condition, with original packaging and tags. See our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
Shop Bell KC7 helmets for sale online at FAST RACER. Each product page lists the helmet's rating and sizes.
