What it means:
Despite “2016” in its name, it remains a current Snell/FIA standard designed specifically for young kart racers, primarily drivers under 15. These helmets provide strong impact protection while keeping helmet weight low to help reduce the forces placed on a child's head and neck.

Typically required for:
Youth and junior kart racing. CMR2016 is recognized by major U.S. karting organizations, including SKUSA and WKA, for youth competition. Age and class requirements vary by series.

Not intended for: Motorcycle or auto racing use.

Designed for karting enthusiasts and fans of the McLaren driver, this helmet brings the look of Norris' 2024 F1 season to the track with its vibrant fluorescent yellow and black color scheme.

  • The helmet mirrors the graphics and signature elements of Norris' own F1 helmet. Based on Bell's HP7 design, the KC7-CMR combines an ultra-lightweight Carbon/Kevlar/Glass shell with advanced aerodynamics and ventilation.

  • This karting helmet comes with over $300 worth of accessories, including a 2mm multi-layer green light smoke visor, top and side air intakes, a rear spoiler, and a Bell HP helmet bag.

  • Key features include:

    • Lando Norris Signature Design: Vibrant fluorescent yellow and black graphics, matched to Norris' 2024 McLaren F1 helmet.

    • Lightweight Construction: A strong carbon/Kevlar/fiberglass composite shell. The helmet weighs 1,186 g (sizes 54 to 56) or 1,230 g (sizes 57 to 59), +/-3%, which suits younger drivers.

    • Ventilation: 14 air intake and extraction channels across the top and chin bar help keep your head cool.

    • Visor: An SE07 2mm double-screen anti-fog visor in green light smoke for clear visibility in all conditions.

    • Aerodynamics: Optimized visor placement, top and side air intakes, and a rear spoiler reduce noise and drag.

    • Anti-Fog Performance: A hollow synthetic rubber gasket seal keeps air, water and dust out of the helmet, plus a Double Screen Anti-Fog (DSAF) visor insert.

    • Karting-Specific Design: Built on the same architecture as Bell's HP7, tailored for karting. The shell and shield design improve acoustic comfort, aerodynamic performance and energy-absorbing capacity.

  • Homologation: The KC7-CMR Lando Norris is certified to the Snell/FIA CMR2016 standard, a current standard designed specifically for young kart racers, primarily drivers under 15.

  • Adults can also use it for recreational and club-level karting where the rules only require a helmet. For sanctioned adult classes, check your series rulebook, since many require a Snell K or SA rated helmet.
