Racing in the US only? Most US series ask for a Snell SA rating, so see Snell SA2025 helmets. Need the FIA's advanced standard? See FIA 8860 helmets, or shop all racing helmets.
FIA 8859-2024 is the FIA's current Premium Helmet standard, and FIA 8859-2015 is the previous version it replaced. FIA 8859-2015 helmets were usually paired with Snell SA2020, while current models pair FIA 8859-2024 with Snell SA2025. If you're buying a new helmet, choose FIA 8859-2024 so it stays eligible longer.
Only if your series still accepts it and you've weighed how long it will stay eligible. FIA 8859-2015 has been replaced, and the industry has moved on to FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025. The remaining FIA 8859-2015 helmets here are previous-generation models, so check your rulebook before you buy.
Both are current auto racing helmet standards. FIA 8859-2024 is set by the FIA and specified for FIA-sanctioned and international racing, while Snell SA2025 is set by the Snell Memorial Foundation and asked for by most US series. Dual-rated helmets meet both, so one helmet can cover US and FIA events.
FIA-approved FIA 8859-2024 helmets are listed on the FIA's official Technical List No. 107, and each homologated helmet carries an FIA label. Check the list for your helmet's model before a sanctioned event, and always confirm your series' current helmet requirements before you buy.
FAST RACER sells FIA 8859-2024 helmets from Bell, Zamp and OMP online, including Snell SA2025 dual-rated models.
