Snell SA2025 is the current US-based standard for auto racing helmets — it carries higher impact-testing requirements than the previous SA2020 standard, closer alignment with FIA testing methods, and stays valid through 2035. FIA 8859-2024 is the international homologation standard many FIA-sanctioned series require in addition to (not instead of) a national standard like Snell. A helmet can carry Snell SA2025 alone, or both Snell SA2025 and FIA 8859-2024 together.
