It combines traditional valve vents at the upper chin bar with lower air-intake vents in the lower chin bar, plus adjustable vents at the top you open or close by hand depending on how much airflow you want. That manual control is the trade-off: it's great for dialing in cooling on a hot day, but it also means dust and debris go straight through the same openings — this isn't the helmet for a dirt track.
