A racing helmet's service life depends on the manufacturer's recommendations, how often it is used, how it is stored, and whether it has experienced any impacts. While Snell SA2025 helmets do not have a formal expiration date, Snell recommends replacing a racing helmet after about five years of normal use. You should also replace your helmet immediately after any significant impact, even if no visible damage is present, and always follow your racing organization's current helmet certification requirements.
