The OMP KS-3X ART Style 2 Kart Suit FIA is specifically designed for karting, prioritizing abrasion resistance over fire protection. While it offers excellent protection against sliding across asphalt, it does not meet the stringent fire-resistance standards required for auto racing suits, such as those set by the FIA or SFI. Unlike multi-layer auto racing suits that resist ignition, the KS-3X focuses on materials that help prevent road rash, making it ideal for karting but unsuitable for high heat or flame exposure.

The OMP KS-3x Art suit is certified to FIA 8877-2022 grade 1, which is a certification for karting only. If you need a car racing suit, look for FIA 8856-2018 (or later) and/or SFI 3-4 A/5 certifications.
